Murdock is a Swiss director born in Locarno, Ticino. He started his journey very early, at the age of 10, he began filming and editing short videos for passion and at the age of 16, he got employed as a photographer and video maker. Three years later, at the end of his studies, he went to the Conservatorio Internazionale di Scienze Audiovisive, a film school in Lugano and graduated in 2016 as a director. During this period he produced and directed several works including the two fictional shorts "Window" (2015) and "Human Protocol" (2016). In 2017, he moved to the US and further refined his skills in the Directing Program at UCLA Extension. In 2018, he wrote, produced and directed his third movie "Rorrim" (2019).

Award Winning Short Film
The project started in September 2015 with the screenplay and ended in August 2016. The movie's premiere took place at the 69TH edition of the Locarno Film Festival (Switzerland). In Addition, the film has been nominated and awared in several festival worldwide.

Project realized with an extremely low budget ($1,500). This short film was made thanks to the relations and the contacts made during his years in film school. Window has won the Best Student Short Film at the Raw Science Film Festival in 2017, and Best Director at the Student World Awards in 2018.
He studied photography for three years in Lugano while working as an apprentice. He learned the importance of good images and how to use them.
He started studing at Conservatorio Internazionale di Scienze Audiovisive (CISA) in Lugano (Switzerland). After two years of experience in several fields - as producer, director, cinematogrpher, camera operator, 1st camera assistant, 1ST assistant director, set designer and editor - He got selected to enter in the ambitious directing program.
